The Vishi Higher Institute (V.H.I) Matriculation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic year took place on the 7th of December 2024 at the V.H.I Campus located behind Nestle Bonaberi in Douala. The event marked the formal induction of newly enrolled first-year students into the institute’s academic community.
The ceremony commenced with a solemn atmosphere, featuring the singing of the Cameroon national anthem and the V.H.I anthem, followed by a prayer session. This was succeeded by a vibrant showcase of Cameroon’s rich cultural heritage through captivating cultural displays, songs, and dances performed by students and staff.
The highlight of the ceremony was the matriculation address delivered by the Vice Chancellor on behalf of the Chancellor of V.H.I. In his address, the Vice Chancellor officially declared all first-year students duly matriculated at V.H.I for the 2024/2025 academic year. This declaration signified the students’ formal entry into the institute and their acceptance of the responsibilities and privileges associated with being a V.H.I student.
As part of the matriculation process, the newly inducted students took the matriculation oath. In doing so, they solemnly pledged to abide by the rules and regulations governing student conduct and discipline at V.H.I. Additionally, they committed to uphold academic integrity and honesty in all their academic endeavors.
The matriculation ceremony was attended by a diverse group of individuals, including proud parents, excited students, and dedicated staff members. The event provided an opportunity for the V.H.I community to come together and celebrate intellectual curiosity, a testament to the institution’s dedication to academic excellence, and a promising beginning for the new students.
